The annual first General Body meeting of MGJSM Thengode was conducted on June 1st 2014.Vicar V Rev Baby John CorEpiscopa presided over the meeting which was surged by more than 100.Regional Coordinator Shinil Paul Mathews Thuruthummel, Assistant Vicar Rev Fr Remy Abraham, Media Coordinator Akhil Shaju, Church Trustee , Sunday School Headmaster were also present.V Rev Baby John, Rev.Fr Remy Abraham and Shinil Paul Mathews Thuruthummel spoke about MGJSM.

STUDENT DAY PRAYER
November 2, fest of Parumala Thirumeni, was celebrated as Student Day all over Malankara as per the decision of Executive Committee of MGJSM.And the whole of Pallikkara Region celebrated it with special prayer for students after Holy Mass.Vicars less the prayer and was attended by students and their parents.Regional President Rev Fr Babu Varghese lead the posters in Cheruthottukunnel St George Church.V Rev E C Varghese Cor Episcopa lead the prayers at St Mary’s Valiyapally, Thamarachal where more than hundred students attended with lightened candles and Educational instruments were blessed afterwards.

HELPING HAND OF MGJSM MORAKKALA
MGJSM Morakkala Celebrated Onam by distributing food to the needy and destitude in the roadsides from Pallikkara to Tripunitura.They collected food packets from different homes in the parish.This deed was showered by prasings from different parts of the society.Expecting to see this kind of Kindness in future from these Children Of God.

REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE MEETINGS
The Annual Representative Meeting of Different Regions are being conducted in the months of August, September and October.This years meetings are mainly aimed at the initiation of forming Regional Committees in every Region and formation of units in every parish as decided by the Holy Episcopal Synod.The dates of meetings and Coordinators are as follows:

- Perumbavoor Region :August 18 – Biju N Raju
- Pallikkara Region :August 22 – Shinil Paul Mathews

“മരം ഒരു വരം” INAUGURATED
The pro nature tree planting project “മരം ഒരു വരം” launched by MGJSM Pallikkara Region was Inaugurated at St Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Valiyapally, Thamarachal on 11th August 2013 Sunday by Vicar Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.MGJSM Thamarachal which became the prerunners of the project initiated the first step by planting more than 50 saplings as Shade trees in the Cemetary, thus becoming the first unit to materialize the project within a 2 days after the Regional Committee approving the project on 9th August.The project is expected to be launched in all 20 parishes under the Region before November 2 (Van Mahothsav Day) when the project is to be implemented in all the units.MGJSMPallikkara Regional Secretary Shinil Paul Mathews and Treasurer Akhil Shaju were present.MGJSM Thamarachal Secretary Paulson Varghese,Vice President Nithin Issac, Treasurer Benson Shaju members Basil Alias,Jino Kuriakose, Eldho Kuriakose etc lead the successful event.

MEMBERSHIP CAMPAGIN
MGJSM Pallikkara Region is conducting membership campagins through out all the 20 parishes under it.The campagin began on 11th August at Thengode St Marys Church.It will continue till September 27.And all the parishes in the Region will have Units by that time.
MGJSM THAMARACHAL CONDUCTED MONTHLY MEETING OF JUNE
The monthly meeting of MGJSM Thamarachal for the month of June was conducted on 13th June 2013 after the second Saturday mass in the MGJSM meeting room.The meeting was presided over by Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.The meeting began with prayer.Eldho Kuriakose welcomed the gathering.Secretary presented the report.President have an insightful speech about friendships in Students and its value.Regional coordinator Shinil Paul Mathews spoke about the Movements giant leaps, especially in Pallikkara Region, in the last year and about the forthcoming Regional Camp EDIFY 2013.Then came the main event of the day-Debate on the topic “Increased use of Internet in Students”.All the students were divided into two teams and 2 groups of 8 made the head-to-head “fight”.This venture proved worth not only with the participation of the participants, but also by the God audience support.The team that supported the notion was declared the winner.Vote of thanks was proposed by Remya T Joy.The meeting attended by over 50 ended with prayer by 12.

MGJSM THAMARACHAL CONDUCTED CAREER GUIDANCE CLASS
Thamarachal: MGJSM Thamarachal conducted a career guidance class on 8th June 2013 at St Marys Valiyapally Thamarachal.More than 100 students participated and were inspired and redirected in their aims for a good career in life.The class lead by Eldhose George Varghese began at 10am ended at 1pm.Mr Eldhose also personally assisted many students in clearing doubts about courses and colleges.Valiyapally Vicar Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath presided over and Regional Vice President Rev Dn Henu Thampi, Regional Secretary Shinil Paul Mathews, Regional Treasurer Akhil Shaju felicitated.Unit Vice President Nithin issac, Secretary Paulson Varghese, Treasurer Benson Shaju lead the function.

HEKAMTHO 2013 CONDUCTED
Morakkala:Academic year commencement Retreat by MGJSM Morakkala”HEKAMTHO 2013″ was conducted at St Thomas Chapel,Malecruz on May 31st and June 1st.The retreat was inaugurated by famous music director Peter Cherannallor.Rev Fr Babu Varghese presided over the function.Classes were taken by V.Rev Fr E C Varghese,Prof Job Chakkalackal, Prof Dixon P Thomas.Nearly 250 students attended.On the first day an anti tobacco rally was also conducted.

MGJSM THAMARACHAL CONDUCTED YOGA CLASS
Thamarachal: MGJSM Thamarachal conducted a Yoga class as part of it’s monthly meeting of the month May.The meeting which began at 10 am after the Holy Mass with prayer was presided over by Vice President Nithin Issac in the absencepoof Vicar Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.Joint Secretary Remya T Joy welcomed the Gathering of nearly 60, while Secretary Paulson Varghese presented the Report.Nithin issac delivered the presidential address.Regional Secretary Shinil Paul Mathews & Vice President Dn Henu Thampi felicitated.Then came the most serried yoga class.The class which was lead by Mr Pradeep,a famous yoga instructor and “Yes Plus” teacher, included yoga demonstrations and games.Demonstrations ranged from pranayama to aasanas.It also included tips to improve concentration, memory and also brain and body health.The games at the end of the session had a special effect as all the students gave their maximum effort.By this time students were asking for the continuation class of this in future.Regional Joint Secretary Aneena Shaji proposed the vote of thanks and the meeting dispersed with prayer by 12:30.All the students were provided with snacks.

Thamarachal: MGJSM Thamarachal lite over 3000 lamps as part of the great fest of Thamarachal Valiyapally.The neatly arranged lamps in row on the way raza was feast for eyes.This new venture received much more acclamation than any other by MGJSM Thamarachal.This amazing work came to life after the days long handwork of MGJSM Thamarachal members.Congrats to MGJSM Thamarachal for such a great work.

VANQUISH 2013 CONDUCTED
The first ever regional arts and sports competition of MGJSM, VANQUISH 2013, was conducted from May 1-4 at St George Church,Kutta.Over 250 students from different churches participated making it the most successful event in MGJSM Pallikkara region’s history.The programs began by flag hoisting by Rev Fr Thomas Chembothukudy, vicar St George church Kutta, at 10 am.The events were conducted at 6 different stages.All the participants showed of their talent at the maximum raising the standard of competitions and making the evaluation tougher for the judges.Results of all the events except Writing section was decided.

The competitions ended by 3:00 with a closing ceremony in which Rev Fr Thomas Chembhothumkudy presided over and MGJSM President H E Mor Theophilose Kuriakose Metropolitan was the Chief Guest.His Eminence spoke of the importance of this organization and also declared MGJSM Pallikkara as the Best Region so far in this year, consolidating the office bearers.The meeting also conveyed its condolence to the Demise of Regional President Rev Fr Babu Varghese’s mother and former MGJSM joint Secretary Prasobh Reji’s grand mother Annamma Varkey and ended by 3:30 pm

MGJSM THAMARACHAL DOMINATES VANQUISH GIRLS BADMINTON
Kutta: MGJSM Thamarachal sweeps off all the top 4 postions of VANQUISH 2013 girls Badminton.The first day of the competition saw the conquest of Iron ladies of Thamarachal.The senior final between Rinu Jacob and Sarah Benny, both representing MGJSM Thamarachal, ended with Rinu Jacob being victorious at 15-4 while in Juniors Claimy Mathai beat Bency Shaju, both of MGJSM Thamarachal, by 15-11.Sneha George of MGJSM Kutta who was defeated in Semi final by Rinu Jacob 15-7 and Emy Eldhose of MGJSM Pazhamthottam who was defeated by Sarah Benny 15-4 in Semifinals will compete for the third place.In Juniors Linta Shaji of MGJSM Kutta won the third place.The following days will be witnessing the breathtaking competition of Boys Badminton

The 3rd Annual arts and sports competition of MGJSM Thamarachal was conducted on 20th April 2013 at St Marys Valiyapalli Thamarachal.The competitions were inaugurated by MGJSM Thamarachal President Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.Regional Vice President Rev Dn Henu Thampi, Regional Secretary Shinil Paul Mathews Thuruthummel, Regional Treasurer Akhil Shaju Pallikkara felicitated.The arts competition was conducted in forenoon while sports competition was conducted in afternoon and on the next day,21st Sunday afternoon.P P Alias,P E Kuriakose, Eldho Issac were the judges for arts while Paulson Varghese, Basil Alias, Shinil Paul Mathews, Benson Shaju controlled,judged the results of sports competitionThe winners and runners up in every competition will be representing the MGJSM Thamarachal at VANQUISH 2013 to be held at Kutta St George Church on 4th May.They will also receive the awards on the Annual day of MGJSM Thamarachal to be held at St Marys Valiyapalli Thamarachal.

The Annual Regional Arts and Sports Competition of MGJSM Pallikkara Region,VANQUISH 2013 will be held at St George Jacobite Syrian Church, Kutta on 4th May 2013 from 9:30am.Nearly 200 participants from 10 units will take part in the first of the kind venture in MGJSM.H E Mor Theophilose Kuriakose Metropolitan will be distributing the prices.Regional Vice President Rev Dn Henu Thampi will be coordinating the function.Regional Secretary Shinil Paul Mathews Thuruthummel is in charge of sports and Regional Treasurer Akhil Shaju Pallikkara is in charge of arts.The Competition is conducted as 2 categories, except in tug of war, by age.

MGJSM Thamarachal distributed 5000 packet of meals and 500 bottles of water at Peruva for the pilgrims from Northern Kerala who went on legs to the Tomb of Ignatius Alias 3rd, The patriarch of Antioch at Manjinikkara dayara.This tiresome job was lead by MGJSM Thamarachal Secretary Paulson Varghese and assisted by Treasurer Benson Shaju, former Secretary Basil Alias, Treasurer Jino Kuriakose and committee member Eldho Kuriakose on 5th February.This kindness towards the needy showcased the helping mentality of Malankara’s best MGJSM unit.Let’s pay to God for the units future projects

MGJSM Thamarachal conducted a mind power class on 9th February 2013 as part of their monthly meeting.the meeting which began at 10 am with prayer was presided over by Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.All the members made a silent prayer for the health of Mini Benny, wife of trustee Benny Paul, who meet with an accident in the church premises on 3rd February.Then Rosin Peter made the Bible reading.Shemin Eldhose welcomed the gathering.Joint Secretary Remya T Joy proposed the report,in the absence of Secretary.Then came the insightful speech by Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.Annsusan Varghese dazzled the gathering with her melodious voice.Then came the most awaited class by Joshy George.He stoled the show with his simple and down to earth words and jolly and interactive words. He also amazed students by demonstrations of mind power by making a student to get glued to the seat without any physical changes but by mere words.And also making another student holded only by only 2 chairs at head and foot region to lie straight and sitting on top of him with out any support below.By the end of the class all the listens had traveled to a world of fantasy.Shagle sang a song at the end of the session.The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Shinil
Paul Mathews who also talked briefly about MGJSM Pallikkara regions further activities.

MGJSM Thamarachal conducted its January monthly meeting on 12th of January 2013.Nearly 40 members participated in the meeting in which Rev Dn Gitson took the class on “facing examinations”.Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath who was supposed to be the president had to leave son after the prayer.Vice President Nithin Isaac presided over the function afterwards.Treasurer Benson Shaju welcomed the gathering.Nithin Isaac delivered the presidential address.The meeting ended by 11:30 with vote of thanks by Regional Coodinator Shinil Paul Mathews.

MGJSM Thamarachaldistributed nearly 300 bags to students of St Marys Sunday School, Thamarachal on 19th January 2013.The first bag was handed over by MGJSM Thamarachal president Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.Trustees V M Kuriachan & Benny Paul spoke about such generous gestures from MGJSM Thamarachal towards students and offered all supports from their part,Sunday School HM K M Paulose was overwhelmed with joy and gasped for words to thank his former students for their kindness.He thanked all the MGJSM members and also requested for such favors in future too.Bags were distributed class wise by MGJSM members.

Exam oriented class and Remembrance of St Athanasiaus and Ahathulla Bava conducted by MGJSM Pallikkara at St Marys cathedral, Morakkala.The Remembrance meeting which began at 10 was presided over by Rev Fr Babu Varghese.Meeting began at 10am with the Prayer.The theme song of St Marys Students Movement, Morakkala by Milan.Regional Secretary Shinil Paul Mathews Thuruthummel proposed the welcome speech.Then Rev Fr Babu Varghese gave a brief presidential address.Cathedral assistant Vicar Rev Fr C P Varghese inaugurated the meeting.Rev Fr Eldhose Thelapilly, (President,St Marys Students Movement) and V J Isaac(trustee) felicitated.Then came the interactive session by Rev Fr Jijo Kutta.Students thoroughly enjoyed the session in which students were grouped into 7 groups.It also included many games too.Nearly 90 members from 6 parishes attended.Feedbacks about MGJSM’s activities till date was collected.Rev Dn Henu Thampi delivered the vote of thanks.All members were provided with lunch arranged by the cathedral managing committee.

Thamarchal:3rd Annual Regional Camp of MGJSM Pallikara region, EDIFY 2012 was conducted on 23rd October 2012 at Thamarachal St Marys Valiyapally by MGJSM Thamarachal unit.The camp was inaugrated by H G Dr Elias Mor Athanasiaus (Thrissur Diocese) at 9am.Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath(Vicar,Thamarachal Valiyapally) presided over the function.Regional Coodinator Shinil Paul Mathews welcomed everyone to the camp.K M Paulose(Headmaster,St Marys Sunday School,Thamarachal), spoke during the inaugral session.It was followed by Retreat by Rev Fr Shobin Paul.H G Dr Abraham Mor Severious Metropolitan(Angamaly Region)blessed the function with his divine presence.He delivered an insightful speech. The afternoon session started with class on cyber crime & informatics by S I Francis Perera(Cyber Cell).This interactive session had many visual clipings which helped the students to have a better understanding about the topic & know about the unseen black holes in the cyber world which traps many youngsters.Then came the mindblowing class by Sensai Biju V Peter on mindpower & crisis management.This interactive session was both inspirational & entertaining.Students were made ready to “fight”, with situations to survive in this competetive world, by the end of the session.The new Pallikkara Regional Committee was also elected during the camp.Then,closing ceremony began at 4:30 presided over by Rev Fr Eldhose Karuthedath.Chev M M Varghese was the chief guest.He too did well with his part of inspiring students.MGJSM All India General Secretary Rev Fr Elias Paul Thuruthel & All India Former Joint Secretary Prasobh Reji inspired the students with their presence.Nearly 100 students from 18 churches attended EDIFY 2012 and MGJSM Thamarachal emerged as the winner of trophy for participating maximum members.Regional Coodinator Shinil Paul Mathews,MGJSM Thamarachal unit Secretary Paulson Varghese,Vice President Nithin Issac,Treasurer Benson Shaju,Former Secretary Basil Alias,Former Treasurer Jino Kuriakose,Joint Secretary Remya T Joy,Former Joint Secretaries Bency Shaju,Sarah Benny,Committe members Jomon George,Eldho Kuriakose,Mathews George,Jithin Joseph,Jobin George,Anju John lead the different camp subcommittes.The camp was a new & unique experince for those who attended.Hoping to recreate this wonderful experience in EDIFY 2013.
